IOP Publishing has created an artistic interpretation inspired by figure 1 in the article  “Germanene: a novel two-dimensional germanium allotrope akin to graphene
and silicene”, published in New Journal of Physics 16 (2014) 095002.

They would like to use the image for marketing materials to promote their journal
highlight's collection for 2015. The visual will include a caption and full reference to the article.

The caption they would like to suggest is:
