Open quantum systems
Open quantum systems (i.e. quantum systems in contact with macroscopic environments) not only present a fascinating set of fundamental challenges, but are a topic of enormous practical import, too. Some of our goals:
-
Explore the time evolution of open quantum systems.
-
Apply the theory of open quantum systems to N-body Feshbach resonances.
-
Calculate Seebeck coefficients from the theory of open quantum systems.
-
Explore thermal transport across spin chains.
